Last week, the Greene County Daily World (GCDW), in cooperation with the Linton Community Development Corporation (LCDC), gave both candidates in the race for Mayor of Linton the opportunity to present their views in a joint question and answer session moderated by GCDW Staff Writer Grant Karazsia, produced by LCDC.
When Linton voters go to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, they will be choosing between the incumbent Democrat, John Wilkes, who is currently serving his first term as Linton’s mayor, and the challenger, Republican John Correll.
John Correll participated. John Wilkes did not attend, stating he had a schedule conflict. The session went on as planned.
The GCDW reached out to Wilkes with an offer to host another session and the production crew said they would be happy to assist with arrangements for another shoot.
