In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the Linton Miners will be hosting a “Play Pink” event during the Lucas Oil Stadium game on Saturday, October 13th.
To help raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation of the Wabash Valley we will be offering the opportunity to purchase a small pink ribbon to be worn on the helmet of a player during the game on the 13th for $10. The decals are IHSAA approved and are similar to those worn by NFL teams during October. Donors may have the name added of someone who is a cancer survivor or in memory of someone who passed from cancer onto the ribbon and may specify a player to wear the ribbon if desired. While the Susan G. Komen Foundation does focus specifically on breast cancer, this opportunity is open to anyone who has been affected by any type of cancer.
